How can I renew items that I have checked out?

All items can be renewed for two weeks, except magazines. DVDs may be renewed one time, other items may be renewed three times unless the item is on hold for another patron or you have unpaid fines. You can renew your items through My Account. You can get to your account by clicking on the My Account linkĀ above the left sidebar anywhere on the Library's web site.

Enter your 14-digit library card number from the back of your library card, and your PIN. Unless you have asked to change your PIN at the Circulation desk, your PIN is the last 4 digits of your library card number. Click on the Submit Request button.

You will now see your account information. Click on Current Loans. You will see a list of the titles you have checked out, with a small box to the left of each one. Click in the box next to each title you wish to renew. Then click the Renew link at the top of the list.

When the screen refreshes you will see that the titles you selected have new due dates. Please note: If an item is on Hold for another patron or you have library fines, your renewal request will be denied. You may also renew an item on or before the due date by taking the item to the circulation desk or to the self-checkout system of any Corvallis-Benton County Public Library. In addition, you may renew by phoning the circulation desk during open hours. To renew an item over the phone, call 766-6926 and have your Library Card barcode number ready, as well as the birth date of the borrower. Circulation will then renew the item (unless it's on hold for another person).
