How to Get a Library Card
Anyone may register for a borrower's card at the Circulation desk of any Corvallis-Benton County Public Library location . Students fifth grade and under need to have a parent's or guardian's signature. Anyone who resides, works, or goes to school in the Benton County Library District may get a free library card upon filling out a library card application and showing verification of address. Others may purchase a card for $75.
A library card is your passport to the diverse collections and services of the library. Your library card will allow you to access your library account online via My Account.
If you are not currently at a library branch, but wish to place a hold on an item, you may apply for a temporary library card online. These temporary cards must be converted to a permanent card at any library branch within 14 days or they will expire. Please note that the card may not work with all of our online databases.
Most materials may be checked out for four weeks. Materials may be returned to any bookdrop -inside or outside the main library, its branches, or bookmobile stops.
