Summer Reading Program PDF Print E-mail
Participation in the Library’s summer reading program encourages children to keep reading during their summer vacation. Research shows that children who read 15 a day during the summer can improve their reading ability. Children who do not read during the summer may find their reading skill declines by as much as two months of the school year.  Younger children, not yet reading, are encouraged to participate too. Read to your little one 20 minutes a day to help your child develop the skills needed to learn to read.  Enjoy a summer of fun, entertainment, and prizes when you join the summer reading program @ your library. For more information, contact the Youth Services Department, 541-766-6794.

Summer Highlights include:

  • Teddy Bear Picnic
  • Weekly programs at all Library locations.
  • Corvallis Kids Library Sleepover
  • Earn Book Bucks and other prizes!
