Programs

TEEN ANIMANGA CLUB

The Teen Animanga Club meets once a month (September through May) to preview new manga titles, compete in trivia contests, eat snacks, and watch anime.

Each year the Teen Animanga Club votes on the new manga they've read and the two series with the most votes are purchased for the library's Young Adult Graphic Novel collection.

First Monday of the month from 4-5:30pm

September 14th, 4-5:30pm - 2nd Monday of the month due to Labor Day holiday
October 5th, 4-5:30pm
November 2nd, 4-5:30pm
December 7th, 4-5:30pm
January 4th, 4-5:30pm
February 1st, 4-5:30pm
March 1st, 4-5:30pm
April 5th, 4-5:30pm
May 3rd, 4-5:30pm

All teens, ages 12-18 are invited. No registration required.

Book Club Bags

Are you looking for something cool for your Animanga or Book Club to read? The library has Book Club Bags available for check out (bags check out for two months). These are bags containing multiple copies of a title previously read by one of the library's book clubs. Two of the bags contain titles from the Teen Animanga Book Club - see below for current selections.

This database highlights approximately 2,000 recommended graphic novel titles with descriptive and evaluative annotations (including review excerpts and awards the title has won), plus cover art. Standards for rating material by age appropriateness are strictly applied, plus all titles are searchable by author, title, subject, genre, and grade level.
