My last name is Johnson and there are so many people with the same last name that I cannot easily find my holds.

Answer:

We can set you up with a unique personal code that you select, like your pet's name or some other code you can easily remember. This can also be used if you have privacy concerns (for example, you have a really unusual or short last name). Some people have even selected codes that start with "AA" so their holds are always shelved near the beginning. Of course if everyone did that, it would defeat the purpose! Please see a staff member in Circulation if you would like to select a personal code for yourself.
