Family Music Fun
Saturday, May 18th, 11:00 a.m., Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, Youth Activity Room. A family-participation music and movement program led by Sue Harden of "Kindermusik".
Storytimes
The Corvallis-Benton County Public Library offers eight storytimes a week, five at the Main Library in Corvallis, two at the Philomath Community Library, and one at the Monroe Community Library.
The Youth Services Division currently offers two monthly book clubs for elementary school-aged kids. My First Book Club, for beginning readers (K-2), usually meets the second Monday of each month from 3:30-4:15 p.m.. The Kids Book Club, for 4th & 5th grade readers, usually meets the first Friday of each month from 2:30-3:15 p.m..
¡los CUENTOS! takes place on the second Saturday of every month in the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library. Come and enjoy a fun bilingual English/Spanish program! Children of all ages are welcome.
A family-participation music and movement program led by experienced music instructors. Come prepared to move and join the fun! Usually meets the 3rd Saturday of each month in the Corvallis Library Youth Activity Room.
El día de los niños/ El día de los libros (Children's Day/Book Day) has been observed annually on April 30th since 1997. It is a day created by librarians and educators as a celebration of childhood and bilingual literacy. It emphasizes the importance of advocating literacy for every child regardless of linguistic and cultural background.
The Reading Education Assistance Dog program (R.E.A.D.) is available at the Corvallis, Monroe, and Philomath branches of the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library. The mission of the program is to provide beginning readers an opportunity to practice their reading skills in a non-threatening environment. The dogs and their handlers will work with individual children on a one-on-one basis for approximately 15-20 minutes during a session. Returning Summer 2013!
Participation in the Library's summer reading program encourages children to keep reading during their summer vacation. Enjoy a summer of fun, entertainment, and prizes each summer @ your library! Each year the Youth Services Division provides a fun summer reading program geared for children ages birth to 12 years old.
