Memories of a Musician in Mexico

On Thursday, September 15 at 7:00 pm, popular Klezmer and jazz performer Mike Curtis,will read—with musical interludes--from his new book, Memories of a Musician in Mexico. 

Mike, who taught at OSU and was a longtime member of the Corvallis Symphony, is now a member of the Eugene Symphony and a well-known composer of woodwind chamber music.

Mike’s book is both an homage to Mexico and an honest account of his own troubled path to maturity.  Between tales of working with the Mexican symphony, and stories of Mexican life, he will play tunes on the sax, clarinet, and bassoon.
